Skyline Road is one of the best roads in Alberta, and you’ll see why. The road descends from the Aspens and Pines of Porcupine Hills on the West side into a picturesque and expansive valley back dropped by the stunning Rocky Mountains.
It was valleys like this that attracted the first ranchers in the late 1800's, and much of this land today is protected. The views are immense, and unbroken with the odd herd grazing in the distance.
This out and back turns around at Waldron Ranch Road (one of the largest Ranches in the area). You climb back into the Porcupines turning left after the switch backs to continue the loop.
